Cascade Creek

The road to Yosemite Valley from Big Oak Flat (and Tioga Pass) crosses Cascade creek. (Technically this road isn’t Highway 120 here, but since it’s only the route into the valley from 120, it’s often labeled that.) Approaching the valley, look for the creek on your left, not long after your first view of El Capitan and Half Dome, and immediately after crossing Tamarack Creek. Exiting the valley, the creek is visible on your right not far beyond the third (and longest) tunnel. There are paved parking areas on both ends of the bridge, and a sidewalk for viewing on both sides. After viewing the upstream scene, cross the road (carefully) and look downstream where you can see Cascade collide with Tamarack Creek.
